Better Caring’s team of humans has accomplished some great things with technology in the last year. We work behind the scenes every day to make sure the platform continues to run smoothly and deliver better matches, faster. But some developments are enough to make you sit up and take notice.
Our ace team of developers has made significant upgrades and improvements to our infrastructure – but what do these changes look like and what do they mean for you?
Better matches, faster
Some hefty background work on the platform now means a faster, smoother experience for all Better Caring customers. With improved search functionality, when clients press Search, they’re now getting a list of potential workers that better suit their search criteria. That means better potential matches for workers and clients.
Clients have always been able to Post a Job – but we’ve upgraded this function to make it easier and faster. People seeking support can now enter job details – including specifics like whether it’s a once-off or ongoing – and it’ll be sent out to all suitable workers in the area simultaneously. Improvements to the workers’ dashboard mean they can quickly and easily reply with their availability and interest.
Plus, once you’ve found the right match and are ready to start working together, clients can now request an agreement from workers instead of having to wait for an agreement to come to them.
A growing community
This year, we introduced Allied Health practitioners to our community, with updates to the platform to ensure they can be onboarded with the right checks and qualifications in place. Now, clients can find and hire psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech pathologists through the platform.
The registration process now includes mandatory ABNs for independent workers hired through Better Caring. This means that all workers on the platform can work for clients who receive government funding like the NDIS and Home Care Packages.
We’re very excited about Better Caring’s new mobile app – helping independent workers run their business on the go. Workers can submit timesheets and agreements, get back to potential clients who have posted a job, and keep up with existing clients through the inbox feature. No more missing out on potential job opportunities as you can replywhile you’re out and about!
